The right way to replantation

Did you know that simply planting trees for the sake of planting trees doesn’t always help the environment! Strange right? I thought so too, which is why I think it’s super interesting to understand what strategic replantation is, and how to do it right!

Not all trees are made the same

Trees are different, come from different parts of the world, and thus, have different ideal climates to grow in. Additionally, they cause the soil around them to act differently, and no two trees draw out the exact same nutrients from the soil. It is important to remember that trees do not only provide oxygen, they also help in providing clean water, air and flood alleviation, and each tree handles these tasks differently

The right tree in the right place

The idea of strategic reforestation is that when you plan the right tree in the right place, it creates a multiplier effect on soil nutrition, strengthening groundwater reserves, and works perfectly with the soil under it. There’s a reason different trees grow in the deserts, the rainforests and the Alps after all!

Trees planted in sites they are historically found and in patterns that reflect the natural order of forestation in the region have the highest impact in creating a more sustainable world!

I was lucky enough to be contacted by Treefy, and they support my family in our sustainability quest! As a brand ambassador for Treefy, I have learnt how strategic tree reforestation can produce a real change in our environment, and contribute to the goals of the circular economy!
